Meet Our Team
JJ was born in Troy Alabama and grew up in Luverne. She is a graduate of The University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in business. After graduation JJ worked for Pfizer Pharmaceutical where she harnessed her go-getter personality to become one of their top sales representatives. In 1996 she moved to Los Angeles California to work for Arnold Schwarzenegger and Marie Shriver as the liaison between their personal and business affairs before relocating to Park City Utah in 1999.,,JJ returned home to Alabama in 2002 where she opened the premier JJ Eyes store in Fairhope. After running a thriving business for 12 years in Fairhope JJ and her family moved to Birmingham Alabama to help launch the dermatopathlogy lab DermLab. After a successful launch of DermLab JJ began working on the second JJ Eyes location. JJ Eyes opened in the heart of Homewood in August 2014.,,In her spare time JJ enjoys reading yoga and spending time with her children.
Manager - Fairhope
Mallory was born in Mobile, Alabama and moved to Fairhope when she was three-years old. She graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in business in 2009 and moved back home to Fairhope where she became a full-time member of the JJ Eyes team. Mallory’s expertise in the eyewear industry empowers her to help each customer find the perfect pair of glasses. She says providing customers with expert advice is where she finds the most satisfaction.
She enjoys spending time with her friends and family – especially her niece and nephew.
DR. ROY LAMB
Dr. Roy D Lamb practices in Fairhope, Ala. by appointment at JJ Eyes. He is a graduate of Concord University with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics & physics, and received his Doctor of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee.,,Dr. Lamb taught high school math and served as an instructor at Southern College before entering private practice in Alabama.,,He is married to Dr. Jane Lamb and has served on various boards for community schools, church and professional organizations. He is a member of the Alabama Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.,,
DR. STEPHEN M. GROSS
Dr. Stephen Gross is from Mobile, Ala. and received his bachelor’s degree in biology from The University of Alabama and a bachelor’s degree in physiological optics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. After completing his undergraduate studies Dr. Gross received a Doctor of Optometry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.,,Dr. Gross has been in practice in Atmore and Monroeville, Ala. since 1982. He specializes in medical eye care and specialty contact lens.,,Dr. Gross is licensed in the state of Alabama and is a member of the Alabama Optometric Association American Optometric Association and American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control.,,
DR. LORETTA JAMES
Dr. Loretta James is a New Orleans native who has called Alabama home for 40 years. She received her bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education from St. Mary's Dominican College. After teaching for five years, she returned to academic studies to pursue a career in optometry. She received her Doctor of Optometry from UAB School of Optometry., ,Dr. James practiced in Auburn, Alabama for 28 years. This past year, she and her husband Bill, a retired educator, relocated to Baldwin County. They have two grown children, a Golden Retriever, and 3 grand dogs., ,Dr. James is a member of the Alabama Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
DR. TIFFANY LUKE
Dr. Tiffany Luke is an optometrist who is originally from south Georgia where she received her bachelor’s degree in business and furthered her education at the University of Kentucky, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in health care science. She then graduated from UAB School of Optometry where she completed internships with the Birmingham VA Hospital and private practice including several clinical rotations in low vision at Callahan Eye Hospital, the Alabama Institute of the Deaf and Blind, and local nursing home facilities. ,,Dr. Luke specializes in comprehensive adult and pediatric eye examinations for the detection of medical diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma, dry eye disease, macular degeneration and diabetes. She also provides specialty contact lens fits including toric and multifocal lenses. She loves caring for patients of all ages. ,,Dr. Luke is a member of the Alabama Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Luke and her husband, David, have two children and live in Hoover, Ala.,
