JJ LAMB

JJ LAMB

Owner

JJ was born in Troy, Alabama and grew up in Luverne. She is a graduate of The University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in business. After graduation JJ worked for Pfizer Pharmaceutical where she harnessed her go-getter personality to become one of their top sales representatives. In 1996 she moved to Los Angeles California to work for Arnold Schwarzenegger and Marie Shriver as the liaison between their personal and business affairs before relocating to Park City Utah in 1999. JJ returned home to Alabama in 2002 where she opened the premier JJ Eyes store in Fairhope. After running a thriving business for 12 years in Fairhope JJ and her family moved to Birmingham, Alabama to help launch the dermatopathlogy lab DermLab. After a successful launch of DermLab JJ began working on the second JJ Eyes location. JJ Eyes opened in the heart of Homewood in August 2014. In her spare time JJ enjoys reading yoga and spending time with her children.

Mallory was born in Mobile, Alabama and moved to Fairhope when she was three-years old. She graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in business in 2009 and moved back home to Fairhope where she became a full-time member of the JJ Eyes team. Mallory’s expertise in the eyewear industry empowers her to help each customer find the perfect pair of glasses. She says providing customers with expert advice is where she finds the most satisfaction. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family – especially her niece and nephew.

TIMOTHY J. ANSLEY, O.D.

TIMOTHY J. ANSLEY, O.D.

Dr. Tim Ansley is a native of Helena, Alabama, and completed his undergraduate studies at Samford University in 2009. He attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry (UABSO), where he was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa National Optometric Honor Society, Vice President of the American Optometric Student Association, and founder and president of UABSO's Sports Vision Club. Dr. Ansley completed his training at the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center, Retinal Consultants of Alabama and Cool Springs Eye Care of Franklin, Tennessee. Since graduation, he was appointed to the board of directors of the Birmingham Optometric Society and is serving as president in 2018. He is also a member of the American Optometric Association and the Alabama Optometric Association. He was appointed to the ALOA Leadership Optometry Class in 2017. Dr. Ansley and his wife, Kendall, have a 5-year-old daughter, Blake, 3-year-old twin boys, Jackson and Baker and a 1-year-old son, Graham. The Ansley's are members at Church of the Highlands Riverchase and currently reside in Helena, Alabama.

DR. STEPHEN M. GROSS

Dr. Stephen Gross is from Mobile, Ala. and received his bachelor’s degree in biology from The University of Alabama and a bachelor’s degree in physiological optics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. After completing his undergraduate studies Dr. Gross received a Doctor of Optometry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Gross has been in practice in Atmore and Monroeville, Ala. since 1982. He specializes in medical eye care and specialty contact lens. Dr. Gross is licensed in the state of Alabama and is a member of the Alabama Optometric Association American Optometric Association and American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control.

DR. LORETTA JAMES

Dr. Loretta James is a New Orleans native who has called Alabama home for 40 years. She received her bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education from St. Mary's Dominican College. After teaching for five years, she returned to academic studies to pursue a career in optometry. She received her Doctor of Optometry from UAB School of Optometry. Dr. James practiced in Auburn, Alabama for 28 years. This past year, she and her husband Bill, a retired educator, relocated to Baldwin County. They have two grown children, a Golden Retriever, and 3 grand dogs. Dr. James is a member of the Alabama Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
